This article is devoted to the dynamics of the development of the meat and meat products market in the Sakhalin region based on official statistics. The article discusses the main indicators of production, consumption and the level of prices for meat and meat products in the Sakhalin region. A survey “Consumption of meat and meat products in the Sakhalin region” was conducted among the population of the Sakhalin region. The questions in the questionnaire concerned the peculiarities and preferences in the consumption of meat and meat products (or the reasons for not eating meat and meat products).
