The paper considers sources of errors in forecasting the quality of special-purpose digital tropospheric radio links. It is shown that the use of digital maps and navigation data in calculations allows forecasting the suitability of a communication interval in real time. The influence of the error in determining the location of stations on the accuracy of calculations is analyzed. Conclusions are made and recommendations are given for the effective operation of navigation equipment. Requirements for the accuracy of electronic maps and navigation systems are formulated to ensure the quality of communication when deploying tropospheric radio links.
