Problem and purpose. The article is devoted to the problem of challenges schoolchildren with health disabilities face in the modern school. The purpose of the article is to present an analysis of the results of an empirical study of the content of challenges schoolchildren with disabilities face, and ways to overcome them. The study of challenges schoolchildren with disabilities face (based on the example of schoolchildren with musculoskeletal disorders) was conducted on the basis of the boarding school No. 1 named after V.P. Sinyakov, in the city of Krasnoyarsk. The methodological basis of the studywas the concept of a challenge, developed in the studies of T. Tomashevsky, M. Tyshkova; the works of B.V. Zeigarnik, V.V. Nikolaeva, A.Sh. Tkhostova in the field of studying the possibilities of embedding a chronic disease into the system of the semantic sphere of the personality and influencing the attitude of the person to the surrounding reality. In conclusion, the article presents an analysis of the results of the study. Results. The analysis of the results of an empirical study of the content of challenges schoolchildren with disabilities face and ways to overcome them is presented. It is shown that schoolchildren with HIA face, in particular, special challenges related to the disease, necessary fulfillment of medical prescriptions. Conclusion. Due to the relevance and practical significance of the problem, it is necessary to identify and scientifically substantiate approaches that contribute to the formation of constructive ways of overcoming challenges schoolchildren with disabilities face in modern educational practice. The author’s contribution consists in the theoretical analysis of scientific literature, the definition and justification of research methods, processing and analysis of data on the study of challenges schoolchildren with disabilities face.
