Analysis of the impact of the COVID-2019 pandemic on the economic security of the European Union in the period 2020-2021

The article analyses the situation with the spread of the pandemic in the European Union and its impact on the economic security of the Union. The economic trends that have emerged in the European Union as a result of the spread of a new coronavirus infection are examined. Estimates of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the development of the economic crisis in the European Union are summarized. The reasons contributing to the accelerated disintegration processes in the European Union Member States due to the spread of COVID-19 are outlined. Based on the experience of Germany, a local analysis of the economic consequences of the spread of the coronavirus and trends associated with the pandemic was carried out. The measures introduced in Germany to reduce the negative consequences of the spread of coronavirus infection and prevent a slowdown in economic growth were studied.
