Analysis of the external form of the diplomatic sources on relations between Russia and Persia for 1588-1607 from the fund-collection of the RGADA

The article is based on a short analysis of the external form of the diplomatic sources on relations between Russia and Persia for 1588-1607. The external features of the sources are their appearance, the form of office work, the material for writing, graphics and writing tools, the presence of filigree, the presence of corrections, litter, seals, the features of the binding and format. Some of the diplomatic sources are found in five Persian embassy books, most are in columns, some are in the form of copies of the XVIII century. It was possible to establish the features of the scribes handwriting with the help of paleographic analysis of the manuscripts.
