Currently, certain measures are being taken to improve and develop the system of customs authorities. So, to determine the path of development, it is necessary to assess the existing situation in the system. The article presents an analysis of the speed of customs operations, identifies problems that arise when assessing the effectiveness of activities, and also provides ways to develop a system for evaluating the activities of customs authorities.
