The paper analyses the interaction of "self"-activities in the process of self-educational activity of students. Various approaches to the definition and consideration of these types of activities are considered, and their place in the structure of students' self-educational activity is determined. The author's understanding of the difference between the concepts of self-education and self-study is given. The role of adequate self-control and self-assessment in the implementation of this activity is highlighted.
