We have noted the Aksenov’s interest in English literary process, systematized the facts of using examples from the works of British writers, numerous references to their names and titles of compositions. However, he found the most interesting only a few works of English writers of the 19th - the beginning of the 20th century ("Christabel" by S.-T. Coleridge, "Heartbreak House" by B. Shaw, novels "Companion" and "The Inn of the Two Witches" by J. Conrad). In perception of his contemporaries Aksenov primarily specialized in the works English writers of Shakespeare’s times.
