English medical terminology as an object of study at a medical university

Medical university students get acquainted with English medical terminology along with Latin terms. Such knowledge is necessary in further professional activity. The author emphasizes that for the correct use of terms it is necessary to understand the meanings of lexical units by medical specialists. In the course of the study a lexical analysis of terms was carried out and the importance of conscious use of English medical terminology was confirmed, as well as the specifics of the formation of medical terms in the English language were revealed.
