Relativistic understanding of truth (based on Anar’s novella “Amulet against the Evil Eye”)

The paper is devoted to the study of one of Anar’s best and quite original works. Various techniques are employed to achieve the aim of tracing the problems of truth and human nature during a turning point in history. The writer’s ability to deeply penetrate the perspective of a generation that found itself in the post-Soviet space - faced with the choice of clinging to the past or moving forward “regardless of any difficulties” - is demonstrated. The article also addresses philosophical questions of existence and a pragmatic approach to certain psychological aspects of human life.
