Anxiopathia as an experience of life with generalized anxiety, and its influence on generalized anxiety disorder therapeutic efficacy

The cause of chronicity in GAD stays incompletely investigated. Thus, some aspects of disorder have large anti-therapeutic influence. The investigation of anti-therapeutic motivation in 204 GAD patients (62,7 % female, mean age 35,2+11,5 years) was held. CIDI-based inventory, Ch. Spielberger and DV Sheehan anxiety scales, K. Leonhard and SR Pantileev self-inventories were used. Self-destructive, antitherapeutic motivation, named as "anxiopathia", in GAD patients was found. Ch. Spielberger's state anxiety as an anxiopathia marker was shown.
