Annual insurance in Russia: essence, role, characteristics and experience of foreign countries

Description. The article reveals the content and features of annuity insurance, it turns out its actual and hypothetical role in Russia and in countries with a developed insurance market. Based on the analysis of insurance statistics, a conclusion was drawn on the low popularity of pension insurance and its trends in the period 2013-2018 were identified, and the prospects for the development of annuity insurance were identified in conjunction with the reform of the Russian pension system.
