The aim of the study was to compare effectiveness of two generic drugs of Ceftriaxone in prevention of infectious complications in patients with CAD who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting. Two groups of patients were included into the study, 30 patients in each group. The first group was on a preventive 1.0 g/day dosage of Ceftriabolum and the second one was on the same dosage of Azaran. We evaluated the occurrence of infectious complications, dynamics of a temperature curve, laboratory values in acute periods in the postoperative period, calculated the expenses/efficacy ratio. In the group on Ceftriabolum infectious complications occurred statistically significantly more often demanding the change in antibacterial therapy which was accompanied by the prolonged and more expansive treatment.
