Antimicrobial therapy of periodontal diseases in dentistry

This article discusses antibiotic therapy as one of the methods to treat the most prevalent diseases of periodontium such as gingivitis and periodontitis. Main periodontal pathogens were indentified from gingival crevicular fluid; antibiotic susceptibility of parodontopathogens was measured. According to comparison results we can evaluate whether the antibiotics are effective for treating gingivitis and periodontitis which was implicated by identified pathogens.
