Antimonopoly regulation and competition development

A state needs to limit and control monopoly. That’s why there is anti-monopoly regulation. However, there are some disadvantages in anti-monopoly legislation that contribute to unfair competition. In this article, the author analyzes the situation on the electric power industry market, special attention in the work is focused on the action of the Federal Law N 135-FL "On Protection of Competition" in this area. The necessity of further development of antimonopoly regulation aimed at developing competition in Russia and maintaining a competitive environment is substantiated.
