Antinomy of the realization of advocate's independence and the safeguarding of the right to qualified legal assistance in the draft of the Federal law "On amendments to the Federal law on advocacy and the advocacy work in the Russian Federation"

Purpose: The paper analyzes the draft of the Federal Law № 469485-7 «On Amendments to The Federal Law on Advocacy and Advocacy Work in the Russian Federation». Methodology: Historical and formal - legal approaches were used. Results: According to the author’s position, the proposed changes contradict the principle of equality of the advocates, as well as provide unjustified restrictions of their independence, what can lead to an inappropriate monopolization of the legal market. Novelty/originality/value: The study is based on the concept of moral-axiological antinomies.
