Antioxidant protection system and lipid metabolism in young cattle in age-specific dynamics

The authors estimated the intensity of lipids peroxidation and antioxidant protection system in calves of the Black-and-White breed in connection with their age. The concentrations in blood of glutathione, peroxidase, catalase, ceruloplasmin, phospholipids, malonic aldehyde, an amount of β-lipoproteides were determined in animals at the age from 5 days to 2 months. It was shown, that concentration in blood of the second metabolites of lipids peroxidation increase up to 45 days of animals age and after that the parameters become stabilize.
