Anti-family aspects of international human rights protection activities at the universal level

There is no definition of a family in international law, however, international law provides for the fundamental principles regard- ing a marriage and family, primarily in the human rights field. The vast majority of states are adhering to traditional views on a family tackling the latter as a “natural and fundamental group unit of society”, and this is reflected in international treaties in force. In spite of that, the recent decades witness a large-scale work at the universal level, aimed at changing the conceptions of a norm and deviations in relation to marriage and family. In the present article the destructive practice through the UN, WHO, UNESCO, UNISEF documents and publications, as well as of human rights treaty bodies in the said direction is considered.
