Introduction: The elections of the President of Russia 2024 is the first in modern Russian history to be held under special conditions (the operation of the SWO regime throughout the country and martial law in four of its regions). This circumstance attracts the attention of a wide range of researchers, practitioners and citizens. However, regardless of the assessments given to it, the most important task for law enforcement agencies now becomes not only to ensure the legality of the elections themselves, but also the security of all election participants. To this end, it seems relevant to monitor and assess the legal regulation of the system of anti-terrorist protection of voting premises. In addition, taking into account the changes in federal legislation introduced in May 2023, it is not excluded that such experience will be in demand during the organisation of election campaigns in the future.
