Anthropological data on inter-ethnic relations of population of the Armenian highlands and Eurasia during the late Bronze age (craniometrical characteristics)

Бесплатный доступ

The author undertook multidimensional craniometrical analysis of more than 66 ethnic groups of the Bronze Age from the territory of Eurasia. New anthropological data allow to single out an alien Mediterranean component which was a part of separate groups of the Eastern Europe and Siberia population. This component is connected with a migratory stream from the Near East, the Armenian Highlands and the Caucasus. The anthropological picture of Eurasia formed during exclusively complicated historical events is shown. Advancement of the Mediterraneans in the territory of Eurasia was accompanied by interaction of various cultural elements as well as their mixture and distribution sometimes at considerable distances from their formation center. Similar researches give new arguments for understanding of ethnogenetic processes in Eurasia.
