The article proclaims a new scientific direction within the framework of jurisprudence. On the basis of the method of doctrinal analysis, the formation of the genetic and legal doctrine (science), which is currently being actively formed in the depths of jurisprudence, is substantiated. The interdisciplinary nature of the new scientific direction is due to the complexity of its subject of knowledge - a person in all his inherent wealth of natural, biological, social properties and traits. The article substantiates and reveals such principles of cognition of genetic and legal research as the principle of the connection between the biological and the social, the principle of interpreting a person as a genetically determined biosocial being and the legal universe, the principle of the social nature of material and bodily life. The methodological significance of these principles for the development of genetic and legal research lies in the fact that the main object of knowledge of the science of genetics, due to its interdisciplinary nature, should be considered not as an independent entity, but in an immanent connection with the personality and physical organization (corporality) of a person, as well as in connection with spiritual and social characteristics. Genetic-legal science should form and analyze its subjects in the context of the mutual influence of natural-corporeal, genetic-legal and material elements, as well as in the context of how law, laws and legal practice normalize rational human activity, while becoming the corresponding phenomena of the objective world.
