The article analyses anthropological and pedagogical content of the old Slavonic language. The beginning of Christianity perception by the Eastern Slavs was associated with the development of religious texts written in the Old Church Slavonic language. Appeal to the anthropological and pedagogical content of the Slavonic language of the X-XIth centuries enables to reconstruct the feeling of pedagogical reality, the perception that was inherent in the Christians of that period, and which has become the significant factor in the formation of national Orthodox pedagogical culture of the first centuries in the history of the Russian state. According to some researchers, it emerged at the end of the IXth century. Thus, it is possible to give the real meaning to a single semantic space that unites everyday teaching practice and the individual, and its intellectual reflection, and unconscious memory of the social collective.
