Apocalypse today? On the time mythology problem in modern perception of the world

The phenomenon apocalyptic moods of the society is considered in the article at the example of the end of the world expectation in the 2012. According to the author’s supposition, this phenomenon represents an actualization of mythological mind during our days. Various aspects of the problem of the time mythologization in modern mass consciousness and in the traditional culture are analyzed.
