The apocryphal "Testament of Job" in the context of Jewish literature of the second temple period and from a Christian perspective

The article offers a description of the apocryphal Testament of Job. Te author of this apocryphal work suggests his own history of the righteous sufferer based on the Book of Job in the Bible. Te article covers a wide range of subjects concerning the origins of the apocryphal Testament, its composition, and theological content. Special atention is paid to the relationship between the Testament of Job and the texts of the New Testament. Te article is prepared within the context of dissertation research on the subject “Te Book of Job in the Time of Hellenism”.
