Pharmaceutical activities in the Yaroslavl province (XVIII. The middle of XIX cc.)

The article deals with problems of pharmaceutical activities in Russian province in the period from the beginning of the XVIII c. until the land reform in 1864, the Yaroslavl province is taken as a model. On the basis of archival documents the author investigates foundation and functioning of free pharmacies, organization of state control over them and state regulation of their work, provision of medicine for hospitals and pharmacological support to the population
