The paper presents the results of the analysis of the archaeobotanical collection from Gnezdilovo 6. The site is a settlement dating to the second quarter of the 1st millennium AD. Domesticated plants are represented by four types of cereal species, namely, broomcorn millet, husked barley, emmer wheat and soft wheat. Wild edible species are represented by the finds of hazelnut shell. The comparison of the data obtained and the materials from three contemporaneous settlements from the Oka and Volga regions has shown great similarity in the list of main cereal species identified; yet percentage shares of cereals are somewhat different. Similarity in some shapes and ornamentation of ceramic vessels has been identified as well, suggesting that the population groups inhabiting this vast region had some common features, at least, related to specific characteristics of economy and material culture.
