The paper presents descriptions and interpretations of the archaeological materials obtained during the excavations in the valley of the Zerkal'naya River. The location of the findings, the presence of the dating artifacts allows to introduce the new archaeological material and new arguments for more accurate cultural and chronological attribution of one of the settlement's stages to the specialists. The results of the archaeological explorations in the eastern part of Primorsky region, connected to the research of the sites of the paleometal period, give strong arguments for defining the local variants of the archaeological cultures of the Bronze Age here and for making suggestions about their connection to the subsequent local cultures of the Iron Age. Signs of complicated cultural processes such as intensive migrations, cultural mixture, adaptation and assimilation processes can be traced in the materials from Ustinovka VIII, Suvorovo VI, VIII, Ust'-Zerkal'naya IV, Zerkal'noe Lake IV and Bogopol' III - IV and other sites.
