Architectural and park ensemble of the Kuban Agricultural Institute as a local landscape in the city space

The author highlights the circumstances of the creation of the ensemble of the Kuban Agricultural Institute (now the Kuban State Agrarian University). Its historical and cultural value and town-planning significance are determined. The ensemble is analyzed as a local cultural landscape. It is noted that the compositional center of the ensemble is a regular park, which has a clearly planned system of avenues connecting the two main buildings of the Institute, as well as some other educational buildings and the Kalinin street, along which lies the eastern border of the territory of the university complex. The conclusion is made that the object of cultural heritage "Ensemble of the Kuban Agricultural Institute" is an integral man-made architectural and natural complex, possessing objective, informative, artistic and aesthetic value, fully meeting the criterion of authenticity, serves as a vivid example of the local cultural landscape of the Soviet era in space modern city.
