The archives of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the ministry reforms (1830-1840s)

The article is devoted to the study of structure and activities of the archives of the Russiaт Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the period of formation and reform of the Ministry. The Ministry had in its structure three main archives where the most important governmental papers were kept. At the same time, the archives accumulated the entire political correspondence of the Ministry with their missions in Europe and were academic institutions that provided scholars with the opportunity to use documentary material to create major historical chronicles.
