Arctic communication in the global economy and the development of the Northern sea route

It has been substantiated that development of the Arctic should be regarded as a large-scale and long-term investment in the maintenance of the resource potential of Russia being the exclusive owner of the resource potential of the global economy for a long time. A number of scientifically based military and political, socio-economic, organizational and legal measures to protect the national interests of Russia in the Arctic as well as the development of the Arctic sea communications taking into account trends in the global economy have been recommended.
