Arched polycarbonate greenhouse with retractable roofing sheets

Бесплатный доступ

Seasonal arched greenhouses with polycarbonate enclosing structures are widespread in small businesses. Mostly structures with permanently fixed polycarbonate roofing sheets are used; polycarbonate greenhouses with a partially opening roof are also used. A common disadvantage of the above types of greenhouses is the stationary fastening of cellular polycarbonate sheets to the elements of a steel frame or roof. Seasonal greenhouses are not used for about a third of their service life, and their enclosing structures in winter are additionally exposed to adverse meteorological influences that reduce the durability of polycarbonate sheets: UV radiation, mechanical abrasion by precipitation, snow loads, which leads to more frequent replacement of the roof. The purpose of the study was to improve the durability of roofing sheets. A constructive solution for an arched greenhouse has been developed with simple dismantling of the roof for the winter period and the formation of a strip ventilation opening at the ridge of the greenhouse in the warm season by lowering the roofing sheets.
