Such non-invasive methods of studying the cardiovascular system activities as daily Holter ECG monitoring (D H ECG M), evaluation of the parameters of heart rate turbulence (HRT), transesophageal electrophysiological study (TEPS), loading tests (treadmill test and bicycle exercises) are reviewed. These methods make it possible to clinically detect latent rhythm disturbances, including the lifethrea-tening ones, as well as conduction defects in elderly patients. This approach provides a basis for developing modern techniques for treatment of this category of patients.
Daily monitoring of the holter electrocardiogram, transesophageal electrophysiological examination, stress testing
