Legal analysis in retrospective review of organization of directorate of public prosecution after services realizing prejudicial inquiry is conducted. The types of supervision powers of attorney in different historical periods are viewed. Proposals on improvement of norms in procedural law legislation of the Russian Federation with regards to historical experience are formulated.
