The aim of the study was to summarize the available data on the relationship between adipose tissue mediators and cancer in patients with metabolic syndrome. Material and Methods. A literature search was conducted using the PubMed and eLIBRARY databases. Of the 400 articles published over the past 20 years, 58 studies were included in the review.
