Hydronym Baikal associative field in lingual consciousness of Ulan-Ude students

The article reviews the analysis of the associative experiment results, conducted among the students of Ulan-Ude for the hydronym Baikal associative field research. To conduct the experiment we composed the profile and held the survey; gave quantitative and qualitative data about the respondents (age, gender, education), had quantitative and logical analysis - determined basic groups of reactions; on the basis of semantic similarity united the reactions in clusters; interpreted and systematized the data; made the associative field of the hydronym Baikal (notional, figurative and evaluative associations). During the research of the associative material it is possible to see how social relations are modeled in space and time in the connection with key social and geopolitical object - Lake Baikal.
