Alexander Osipov's atheistic articles in soviet newspapers

The phenomenon of renegacy is one of the most difficult pages in the history of the Russian Orthodox Church during the Khrushchev anti-religious policy of the mid-twentieth century. At this time, about 200 people left the Church as part of this phenomenon. One of the most famous personalities is a former priest, and one of the professors of Leningrad Theological Academy, Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Osipov. After departing from the Church, Osipov actively gave lectures on atheism, published books, pamphlets and articles. In this article, the author undertakes an analysis of the articles that were published in Soviet newspapers during the struggle of the former inspector of the Leningrad Theological Academy with religion from the moment of his abdication in December of 1959 until his death in 1967.
