Nuclear power industry: advantages and disadvantages of using it

Nuclear power is an industry engaged in the production of two types of energy: heat and electricity. Nuclear energy can be attributed to relatively cheap and long-term types of energy. It is the use of nuclear energy that makes it possible to obtain the amount of energy that allows us to meet the needs of mankind. Other sources, unfortunately, are not able to meet this challenge of nuclear energy. The production of nuclear energy is a very important element in the development of the energy industry. But it is also the subject of constant debate. Supporters of nuclear power support the importance of its development. They are convinced that it requires little fuel, is reliable, and is environmentally friendly. Opponents do not agree with the opinion that it is safe and reliable. They believe that the danger is associated with the possibility of accidents, the threat of terrorist attack and, of course, the complexity of processing radioactive waste.
