The purpose of study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of direct myocardial revascularization with sequential venous bypass grafting. A total of 97 patients with coronary artery disease (age: 61.2+7 years) were enrolled in the study. The postoperative clinical outcomes, rates of cardiac events and non-specific complications, and patency of sequential vein grafts were evaluated by using the multidetector computed tomography before discharge from hospital. The obtained data suggest that sequential vein bypass grafting is a safe and efficacious procedure which does not impair the immediate results of direct myocardial revascularization.
