Aviamedical teams in the conditions of megapolis: work experience, problems, prospects

The authors of the article carried out a research devoted to the problem of increasing the effectiveness of providing emergency medical care in the prehospital stage to victims in emergency situations and to severe medical patients using the example of the use of air medical brigades. The Scientific and Practical Center for Emergency Medical Care of the Moscow City Health Department. The experience of the use of helicopter technology convincingly demonstrates a number of advantages over other vehicles in carrying out a number of special works: increasing the responsiveness of the services involved in the liquidation of emergencies and primarily such as emergency medical care and as a vehicle for the timely evacuation of the affected population. In a metropolis, only light-duty helicopters can be used.The effectiveness of using helicopter technology is achieved due to the rapid delivery to the scene of the medical team, reducing the time for the beginning of medical care in full available volume in the prehospital period. The most effective is the use of helicopter equipment in road accidents on the Moscow Ring Road, major highways and highways adjacent to the Moscow Ring Road in the Moscow region.Despite restrictions on the use of helicopters on the territory of Moscow, the introduction of specialized helicopter equipment in the practice of emergency medical assistance for evacuation of seriously affected greatly increases its efficiency.
