Automated construction of a multi-agent system for integrated energy system design

This article presents an approach to automating the construction of a multi-agent system based on an ontology that describes system agents as well as software components implementing methods, algorithms, and mathematical models of subsystems and individual elements. The proposed approach is based on the concepts of model-driven development and ontology-based software development, adapted to the specific features of multi-agent modeling for integrated energy systems. Within the considered problem, information is divided into reusable knowledge and data describing its context. Software agents are designed for repeated use and remain independent of specific equipment models. During the construction of a multi-agent system, these agents are combined with mathematical models of integrated energy systems and problem solving methods. The article describes the architecture of a unified software platform, a methodology for developing a multi-agent system ontology, and a methodology for the automated construction of a multi-agent system to perform computational analyses in the design of integrated energy systems. The results obtained from applying the proposed approach to the design of an integrated energy system are also presented.
