Automation of production processes and the human role in Industry 4.0

The article examines the impact of digital transformation of production processes on employment. As a result of the analysis of statistical data and foreign scientific research, it is shown that the role of man in the era of Industry 4.0 will be significant. Recommendations aimed at preparing human capital for the transition to the digital age are formulated. It is concluded that the Russian economy has a time reserve for preparing the workforce for digital transformation.
