The paper describes a method for automated solution of the problem of arranging balancing weights in spacecraft compartments. For the descent vehicle of the crew transportation spacecraft Soyuz MS, the math model and the solution simulation technique have been reconstructed after the existing software was reinstated on the modern operating system Windows 2010. The paper provides actual results of test calculations taking into account the descent vehicle center-of-mass and inertia requirements for the cases of reentry, jettisoning of the hatch cover of the main parachute system, touchdown using soft landing thrusters. Comparison of results against control values is provided. Also described are causes of discrepancies and measures to reduce them.
