Motorization of the urban space

The research discusses the motorization of urban space. In this paper we studied 3 stages of the motorization development in global scale in the 20th century. For relatively small, in historical dimension, term motorization changed the notion of the transportation problem. Also we presented and analysed the level of motorization in the world, in Russia and in the city of Tyumen from 2011 to 2015. Using this information we can say the level of motorization in the world grows, more and more persons get an opportunity and demand for cars. As a consequence, the level of quality of life in countries and cities increases. The prevailing trend of motorization in its intensive development in the world has led to bigger a number of major technical, economic, social, law enforcement and environmental problems encountered.
