Car insurance and settlement of losses of road-transport accidents by insurance companies in Germany

The article analyzes the vehicle insurance system and the peculiarities of the settlement of losses from road traffic accidents by insurance companies in Germany. Using examples from the practice of civil courts, the author examines the process of resolving the consequences of a traffic accident, which is implemented in Germany differently than in Russia. It concludes that in this country the judicial practice of decades-tested opposition of insurance companies and victims rightly protects the interests of the parties.
