Self-similar and nonself-similar turbulent flow of viscous gas inside a conical diffuser is considered. The results of direct numerical modeling are compared with the exact self-similar solution that is obtained using the Boussinesq approximation and the Prandtl’s model for a turbulent viscous coefficiet. It is shown, that inside a limit length conical diffuser with a nonself-similar flow an area with the self-similar regime exists.
