The article deals with the foundations of the legal awareness's independence in the framework of phenomenological philosophy. In general, the independence of consciousness is interpreted as an absolute in consciousness. The authors consider the specifics of the legal awareness independence as the autonomy of its existential foundation, namely, social act. The dynamics of legal awareness and legal reality are discussed. It is concluded that resolution of the contradiction between the common good and individual liberty and justice generates dialectic independence of legal consciousness.
