The article illustrates the main types of intentional violation of punctuation norms committed by modern Russian writers and poets: а transformation of punctuation marks (reduction or increase in the number of points in an ellipsis), irregular combinations of marks (blend of an ellipsis and a comma), а refusal of punctuation and the usage of typographical (asterisk, square and figure brackets) and «computer» icons (slash, at-sign, smiley) in punctuation functions - all these means create an author’s idiostyle.
