Bacillar and coccal types of Helicobacter pylori in mucous membranes of oral cavity and ventricular antrum (immune cytochemical investigation )

Bacterial cells of Helicobacter pylori (НР) of spiral and coccal types were studied in oral and gastric mucous membrane received from the ventricular antrum in chronic gastritis and paradontitis patients. It was revealed that spiral forms prevailed over coccoids in gastric mucosa but coccal types were more frequently found in oral cavity. Samples from oral cavity included squamous cells and dental plaques. Helicobacterioses in oral cavity are usually revealed in chronic paradontitis
