Comparative study of pro- and antioxidant activities of blood serum and oral fluid from 27 patients with chronic generalized parodontitis (CGP) having no somatic diseases and from 25 patients with lymphoproliferative diseases (LPD) was conducted. Antioxidant status disturbances with activation of free-radical oxidation processes were found to be more significant in the LDP patients than in the CGP patients. Systemic and local disturbances in antioxidant status with the development of oxidative stress were observed indicating the disease severity and its complications including parodontium inflammation activation and oral cavity mucosa damage.
