The article touches upon the question of banking panic in contemporary society. The paper analyzes the causes of its appearance. The article presents the author's opinion on the main forms of banking panic as a social problem. It describes the possible ways to resist the banking panic. They include promoting public awareness concerning the state of country's banking system, improving financial culture of citizens, etc.
